This department covers a wide range of work, advising clients on all aspects of civil disputes including personal injury claims, contract law, property and landlord and tenant disputes.

Essential to such work is a practical approach to litigation concerns and carrying out a cost benefit analysis.

Before any work begins on behalf of clients, the Department discusses both the likely level of legal costs involved in any particular course of action and the various ways in which such action might be funded. This may include public funding (previously called Legal Aid) or conditional fee arrangements (“no win no fee”).

Brian leads on matters in all areas of civil litigation including personal injury, contract law, property and Landlord and Tenant disputes. He has experience of Maritime Law through the firm’s involvement with the Falmouth Harbour Commissioners.

Brian is a former Chairman and current Management committee member of Carrick Citizens Advice Bureau.
